Michael Buettner jions the Board of the Central Coast Bears. 
Central Coast Bears Pty Ltd has today appointed the NRL’s former Toyota Cup Manager Michael Buettner to its Board.
Mr Buettner is an ex-Australian and NSW five-eight, who competed at the top level for 13 seasons with North Sydney, Parramatta and Wests Tigers.
Central Coast Bear’s CEO Greg Florimo said Mr Buettner will be a first class addition to the Board and brings a wealth of knowledge as a recently retired professional rugby league player, administrator, businessman and radio broadcaster.
“Michael was a top class player and since his retirement in 2004 has built an excellent CV in sports management, business, the media and community service,” added Mr Florimo.
“As a Central Coast Bears Board member, Michael ticks many boxes. He lives at Erina Heights, played almost 100 games for the Bears and is very much committed to returning elite rugby league to Bluetongue Stadium on a full time basis.
The dynamic ex-Bears’ five eight was the Toyota Cup Manager at the NRL and successfully managed the elite Under 20s competition in its inaugural seasons 2008-9.
Mr Buettner is Assistant General Manager at the luxurious Star of the Sea at Terrigal and continues to support schoolboy rugby league in his role as a patron.
He is part of the popular sports program The Locker Room with Steve Allan on Saturday mornings on 2GO.
Mr Buettner is also a Board Member of the Donnica Clarke Foundation and a member of the National Leadership Group for the White Ribbon Day Campaign.
