Central Coast Bears CEO Greg Florimo gets the day rolling with Bears Head of Football Operations David Fairleigh.
A coaching clinic was held by The Central Coast Believers, who are registered with the Leukaemia foundations WORLDS GREATEST SHAVE on Wednesday 17th February at 5.30pm at Woy Woy Oval.
This clinic was held in support of the Leukaemia Foundation and to assist with the ongoing research needed to help kids like Aimee Bliss.
Many current and past NRL stars attended to help put local kids on the coast through many of the skills and drills associated with Rugby League.
The Newcastle Knights, the Central Coast Bears and the local Central Coast Division came together to coordinate the event, and to run specialised coaching stations for the kids.
Greg Florimo, David Fairleigh, Jarred Mullen, Jason Taylor, Scott Dureau and Chris Heighington are among those who volunteered their time to this worthy cause.
The Central Coast Believers, and the Leukaemia foundation is behind the drive to support local girl Aimee Bliss, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage 4B. Aimee has been courageously undergoing therapy to control the disease and was excited about seeing some of her favourite NRL stars.
“I love Rugby League and can’t wait to see some of my favourite players. To think they are here to help me is unbelievable.” All proceeds went towards supporting Aimee’s battle.
