Who will be the top try scorer for the Bears,
who will be the Bears major play maker,
who will top the tackle count,
who will do or die for his team in the Red and Black in 2010,
It’s a new season and hopes are high on many fronts.
“Our Bid for a Central Coast team is moving in leaps and bounds”, claims CEO Greg Florimo, “and we would hope this renewed passion will also be reflected in our crowds for North Sydney at both our away matches and home at North Sydney Oval”.
A bumper crowd is expected for Saturday at Henson Park as the NSW Cup begins the Season with a Foundation Double header.
Saturday promises to be a huge day in the Newtown Jets calendar, with six of the NSW Rugby League’s 1908 foundation clubs all appearing at historic Henson Park on the one day.
Fierce rivals the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs clash in the Harold Matthews and SG Ball fixtures, with these curtain-raisers kicking off at 11.00am and 1.00pm respectively.
In the NSW Cup Heritage Round double-header also being staged at Henson Park on Saturday (13th March), North Sydney and Western Suburbs do battle at 3.00pm, followed by an old-fashioned, inner-city local derby when Newtown takes on Balmain at 5.00pm.
The Bears juniors will have an early start from 10:00 am against the Cronulla Sharks at Toyota Park also on Saturday.
