Three Players Who Wore the Red & Black in 2016 Added to the South Sydney Auckland 9s Side

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have added three young players from The North Sydney Bears 2016 playing roster to their Auckland 9s side. Bryson Goodwin will guide the team around the park with Damian Cook ruling the ruck. The three new faces will add grunt and pace to the squad of 18.

Sitiveni Moceidreke does not need an introduction to Bears fans, his ability to quickly change direction and confuse the opposition coupled with his strength and speed has served him well at the Bears. “Siti” is a Fiji Bati international, who came to the North Sydney Bears via the St George/Illawarra Dragons. At 188 cm and 100 kg the Hurstville United junior and Sydney Red Catholics School representative is well placed to link up with wingers Aaron Gray or Alex Johnston – who will both be in Auckland as well.

Cabramatta junior and Bears hooker Brad Deitz, has signed with South Sydney for 2017 after a great year with the North Sydney Bears. Small in stature at 174 cm and 89 kg, Brad is one of the Generals of the team and has a high work rate. His Rep Honours include Australian Schoolboys 2012 and NSW U16s Origin.

Cameron Murray is a Mascot Jet junior who has already represented at Under 16, Under 18, Australian Schoolboys level and logged substantial appearances for the Bears in 2016. He was also Captain of the First 15 at Newington, 2015. As a 90kg 19-year-old lock forward, Cameron still has another year of Holden Cup – if he needs it! Contracted with Souths until the end of 2018 Auckland is an opportunity to mix it with men who’ve made a profession out of Rugby League.
