90th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE JERSEY

This year is the 90th Anniversary of North Sydney first and most famous premiership in 1921. This is the season that the Shoremen, as they were sometimes known, went through the full season undefeated and featured what is often described as the greatest backline in the history of Australian Rugby League.

This jersey is long sleeve and made of cotton (for the polyester on-feild players version of this jersey see next item).

This 2011 Players' Jersey is the polyester players version of the 90th Anniversary Jersey of which there is also a commemerative cotton version (see above item).

1943 REPLICA PLAYERS' JERSEY

Get a special part of history. This one off jersey was worn by the North Sydney Bears during their Heritage Round match V Newtown in April 2008. Replicating the 1943 Grand Final strip worn by Norths against Newtown, this jersey features a commemorative badge and a number 43 on the back. Made of the modern polyester/cotton material.

1970 HERITAGE JERSEY: WALK OFF / ROY FRANCIS

This jersey will be worn in the two games against Canterbury-Bankstown this year, to commemorate the infamous moment in Rugby League history when Ken Irvine, mid match, led the North Sydney players from the field at Belmore against Canterbury on the 29th march 1970... 1959 ON-FIELD PLAYERS JERSEY

This is the players' short sleeve commemorative edition of this jersey. Made of modern polyester as worn by the players on-feild.

ABOUT THE JERSEY • Used by the Bears from 1954 - 1968 • The 1959 Jersey was the first to feature the Bears logo making this year the 50th Anniversary of the Club as the Bears. • The Jersey was designed in 1953 for the 1954 season by Bears centre George Martin and was based on the Jersey of the American All Stars that toured in 1953. • 1959 was the first full season for Ken Irvine, Ken only playing three games in the top grade in 1958 for North Sydney.
