The crowds rolled into North Sydney Oval by the thousands on Sunday for a huge day of footy as we hosted our annual Beer, Footy Food Festival. Although the wind felt like it was straight off the Snowy Mountains, the sun shone, the beers flowed and the vibe was good all round.

We kicked off the day with the first of three emerging nations games as Latin Heat took on Philippines Admirals. A great opportunity for these young players to pull on their nation’s jerseys and represent their flags. Following at 1.20pm was Ukraine Tridents vs Thailand Naga. Starting the game with a 1 minute silence in remembrance of the Ukranian lives lost in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War. Ukraine proved too strong on the day, showing great prowess throughout the game. At 3pm Africa United kicked off to Lebanon Cedars in front of a huge crowd who thoroughly enjoyed the on-field action. At 5pm the Bears went up against a strong Panthers team. The mighty red and black put up a solid fight but were unable to hold on to their half time lead. Read our full match report HERE.
