We’re proud to announce that two key members of our 2026 leadership team, Jake Toby and Matt Stimson, have re-signed with the North Sydney Bears for 2027.

Both Jake and Matt have shown outstanding leadership this season, making a valuable contribution both on and off the field – and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them back for another season in the mighty red & black.

Jake Toby will head into his fourth season with the Bears and has proven himself as a nimble and highly skilled fullback who expertly controls our team from the back.

Matt Stimson is also heading into his fourth season with the Bears. A strong second rower who knows how to find the try line, Matt gives 100% at training and on game day and is always there to have his teammates’ backs. It’s a quality that has made him such an important part of our playing group.

There’s another milestone coming up for Matt, too, with the big man set to play his 100th NSW Cup game in Week 2 of the finals. A fantastic achievement.
