𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝟳 – 𝗡𝗦𝗪 𝗖𝗨𝗣 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

The NSW Cup had a similar start to the women’s game, with the St George Dragons running in an early converted try to take the lead but the Bears retaliated quickly with a Sione Hopoate try off a perfect Josh Ralph kick. A few minutes later Coby Thomas followed him in although badly dislocating his arm on the way to the white line. It was another 10 minutes before Naufahu Whyte crashed across the line and the Bears headed to halftime up 12 – 6.

The second half started with a solid 15 minutes of defense before Josh Ralph made a good break and offloaded to support runner Jerry Key with Tom Carr converting the try. Another quick try followed from a beautiful backline pass along that ended in the hands of Moala Graham-Taufa on the wing to run the ball in. Bears were caught dreaming for a moment in the 72nd minute allowing the Dragons to get a soft try which they converted. However, just before the final whistle the Bears pulled off another fast running play that saw Tom Carr roll over the white line and end the game with a win at 26 – 12.
