Billy Moore Steps Down

After five years as a Board Director of the North Sydney Bears, Billy Moore has made the difficult decision to take a step down from the club board to focus on his own business and media career. Billy Moore, ex-player #874, joined the board in May 2020 with the aim to strengthen the club and push for readmission back into the National Rugby League. Now that this has been achieved, with the Bears due to return to the NRL in 2027, he feels the time is right to make his next move.

Bear Park Beers 2025

This season, we are bringing our beer production hyper-local by partnering with Depot Brewery who are located in Artarmon, only 3kms from the home of the Bears North Sydney Oval. Over the last 4 months we have worked closely with the crew at Depot to ensure our Bears Beers are of the highest quality and perfect to enjoy while watching the footy at North Sydney Oval.

Beer, Footy Food Festival 2025

The Beer, Footy Food Festival returns to North Sydney Oval in a HUGE way this June Long weekend. Featuring 3 games of heritage rugby league featuring the Ukraine Tridents, Philippine Admirals, Latin Heat, Africa United, Thailand Naga and Lebanon Cedars before the mighty Bears go up against the Penrith Panthers. This will be the first time these nations have played on the iconic North Sydney Oval and will be an epic showcasing of emerging nations rugby league. Get behind the nations, enjoy the mix of cultural food and entertainment and a cracker of a long weekend spent at Bear Park.

Danny Met Sally Inclusivity Round

Join us at North Sydney Oval on Sunday 18th May for the inaugural Danny Met Sally inclusivity round where we will be rolling out the VIP treatment for Bears fans living with disability and their families, carers and friends. Through our partnership with Danny Met Sally, we are excited to offer some exciting activities on this event day to allow people (adults and children) living with disabilities the opportunity to be involved firsthand in a Bears home game day. 2025 Junior Representative Awards Night

Last night we celebrated and acknowledged all the people who have made an impact both on and off the field in our Junior Representative program. 200 players, coaching staff and parents/carers enjoyed a delicious meal and an entertaining evening at Norths in Cammeray as the winners of our Harold Matthews Cup, Lisa Fiaola Cup, SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Cup were announced. On Wednesday 19th February we brought together our corporate and community partners, our members & fans, our board, staff and our playing group to help kick off the 2025 season and celebrate another year in the red & black. 130 people attended the launch held at Depot Brewery in Artarmon, a new partner of the Bears that we will formally launch in the coming weeks.

The North Sydney Bears are saddened to hear the news former player #899, Noel Solomon, passed away today at the age of 53. The club sends it condolences to the Solomon family at this tragic time.
