The North Sydney Bears announce the release of Morgan Harper, effective immediately. Harper joined the Bears Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team during the 2025 pre-season and has since been offered a full-time contract with the New Zealand Warriors.
“Although it is disappointing to see Morgan depart our 2025 team, it is the unfortunate part of the player pathway process. Our club recruiters do an excellent job at seeking out the best talent available and this is often recognised by NRL clubs” stated Bears CEO Gareth Holmes. “Allowing movement of NSW Cup players up to the NRL is an important part of the competition structure” Holmes continued.
Our 2025 Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team remains strong due to ongoing effective recruitment and retention by the club. We are looking forward to round 1 of the 2025 competition kicking off on Sunday 9th March when we take on the Sydney Roosters at Wentworth Park.
