Over the weekend, The North Sydney Bears junior representative sides travelled to play at Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong for their latest round of fixtures, with three wins from four matches highlighting a strong day for the club on the road. It was a successful Saturday overall, with all teams showing great determination and commitment.

The Lisa Fiaola Cup side secured an exciting 18–16 victory over the Dragons in a tightly contested match. With both teams scoring three tries each, the game remained evenly poised throughout. Georgia Kouris, Palace Koia and Cailyce Kiriau-Paulo crossed for the Bears, while Summah Pleasance proved the difference with the boot, converting all three tries to finish with a perfect three from three and seal a hard-fought win.

The Tarsha Gale Cup side produced a strong 18–10 victory over the Dragons. The Bears set the tone early, taking an 8–4 lead into halftime before finishing the match strongly with confident attack and determined defence. Indianna Carroll opened the scoring and later added a conversion, while Charis Toli, Talia Pele Taula and Tyra Field all crossed to help the Bears secure an impressive win on the road.

The Harold Matthews Cup side secured a 20–10 win over the Dragons. In a tightly contested opening half that saw the scores locked at 10–10, the Bears lifted their intensity after the break and controlled the match through disciplined defence and well-executed attacking sets. Morgan Carter led the way with two tries, while Xavier Kahika-Cherrington and Mason Rawhiti also crossed the line. Kahika-Cherrington added two conversions to help seal an impressive team performance.

The SG Ball Cup side faced a strong Dragons outfit in Wollongong, going down 32–22 in a competitive encounter. The Bears started brightly with early tries to Joseph Wesser and Hayden Moynihan. Aden Baker later crossed for another try, while Cody Field added a try of his own and finished the match with three goals. Despite several strong attacking moments, the Dragons built momentum through the middle stages of the game to secure the result.

Across the weekend there were plenty of positive signs for the Bears’ junior pathways. Across all teams, players showed grit, determination and strong individual performances while continuing to gain valuable experience as they develop throughout the season.
