It was a challenging Round 7 for the North Sydney Bears junior representative sides, with all four teams falling short against strong Sydney Roosters outfits across the weekend.

In the SG Ball Cup, the Bears were defeated despite tries from Joseph Wesser and Cohen Riddell, with the Roosters capitalising on their opportunities to take control of the match. The Harold Matthews side also faced a tough contest, going down despite an early try from Sue Fale in the 8th minute. Jozaiah Fakalangi added another, but the Bears were unable to match the Roosters’ consistency across both halves. The Tarsha Gale Cup girls were held scoreless, with the Roosters Indigenous Academy dominating possession and field position throughout. Similarly, the Lisa Fiaola Cup side were defeated in a difficult game, with Aaliyah Pagaspas scoring the Bears’ lone try against a clinical Central Coast Roosters team.

While the results did not go in the Bears’ favour, the teams now have a bye before heading into the final round of the regular season on Saturday 4th April.
