What a wonderful celebration of women, community and connection at our North Sydney Bears Women in League Event held at North Sydney Oval on Sunday.
The event brought together volunteers from across the North Sydney Junior League, local business leaders, community representatives and supporters of the Bears to recognise the incredible contribution women make to our game and our community every day.
Guests enjoyed delicious nibbles and sparkling rosé while hearing from an inspiring panel featuring Taryn from TD Wraps, Amelia from Sydney Harbour Cruise Events, our newly appointed Female Development Squad Head Coach Brooke Mugridge and Bears CEO Gareth Holmes. Their insights, experiences and passion for rugby league and business made for a memorable afternoon.
A special thank you to Janine Wood from Mary’s House Services, who shared the powerful impact of the ongoing partnership between the Bears and Mary’s House. We are proud to support the important work they do in providing safety and support for women and families experiencing domestic violence.
We were also delighted to hear from the students of Monte Sant’Angelo College, who hosted a bake sale during the game. Their enthusiasm and generosity were incredible, with every item selling out. Combined with our raffle, the event raised more than $3,500 for Mary’s House Services.
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and contributed to making the day such a success. Together, we demonstrated the strength of our Bears community and the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together for a great cause. Fiercely United.
