2025 is set to be another epic year for the Bears with twelve home games, eleven to be hosted at the home of the Bears North Sydney Oval. This year marks the 115 year anniversary of North Sydney playing at the iconic venue that sits pride of place above Sydney Harbour and only 1 kilometre from Norths Cammeray.
In a bold move, we are excited to be kicking off our home game series by taking our game against the Rabbitohs to Industree Group Stadium on the Central Coast on Sunday 13th April. Both teams will be playing the first game of the 2025 Mario Fenech Cup. Back in the late 1990’s, the Central Coast Stadium was built as part of a move for the Bears to the Central Coast. Unfortunately, the Bears never took up residence in the new stadium with the build plagued with construction issues and bad weather, and the eventual merger of the club to form the Northern Eagles. Now, we look towards the future and a with new charge for reinstatement to the NRL, we take our first home game of the season to an NRL standard facility. More info to come regarding activations and curtain raiser games on the day. All members with game day access included in their membership tier will be given free access to Industree Group Stadium as part of their allocation.
Our first game at the home of the Bears will be on Sunday the 4th May as we take on the Warriors. And yes, this will most certainly have a nod to Star Wars….May the Fourth Be With You!
Magic Round this year will be held at Scully Park in Tamworth as the NSWRL take our great game rural. Pack your bags for a road trip, get set to watch some great footy and cheer on your Bears.
Over the June long weekend, Sunday 8th June, we host Penrith Panthers in what is set to be an epic day of footy and not to be missed. Again, more info to come.
On the 22nd June it is the first clash of the Frank Hyde Shield for the year and our first game against the 2025 NSW Cup Premiers, Newtown Jets. We back it up two weeks later in the Frank Hyde Shield final at Henson Park.
Introducing a Friday night twilight game at Bear Park this season, we go up against the Magpies in the Jason Taylor Cup final on the 25th July. Four rounds later we welcome our old foes the Manly Sea Eagles to North Sydney Oval for the first time in many years. This will be our Bears Legends Day.
And finally, we end our home game series with a starry Saturday night game against the Parramatta Eels kicking off at 7.30pm.
