This Saturday our male Junior Reps teams head back to Hills Grammar to take on Melbourne Storm for Round 3. While our Lisa Fiaola and Tarsha Gale Cup teams have an opportunity to rest and recover with a bye weekend.

Round 2 brought some red-hot play from our SG Ball team who walked away with a hard-fought win over the Newcastle Knight. Try scorers were Brandon Navarro, Mustapha Hawchar with a double and Tainyn Clarken. Blake Pasfield ensured the win kicking four from four. Harold Matts battled for the full 60 minutes and bowing out just two points short, thanks to a late penalty. Try scorers were Samuel Ive, Isaac Khoudair, Archie Morris and Cohen Riddell, while Saxon Gaw kicked three from four.

For the second week in a row, our female teams took on strong squads in both Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup. Although the scorelines were high, both squads showed good growth from round 1 and competed well. Try scorers in Tarsha Gale were Lilly Wilson and Angelina Ballas. Nice work to Lilly Wilson who has now pocketed the points two weeks in a row. While in Lisa Fiaola Cup the try scorers were Lily-May Price-Jones and Timeka Collins with one conversion by team captain Aliyah Waipouri. Both teams move into a BYE weekend for round 3.

HOT NEWS! Our Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team will now play their first trial game of the season this Saturday against the Newcastle Rebels. Reminder that trial games are not scored and are used by the coaching staff to test players and combinations. No team list provided for trial games. Kick off 12.30pm at Hills Grammar School prior to our Junior Reps games.

SG Ball and Harold Matts will be back again this Saturday at the summer home of the Bears, Hills Grammar School.
