Our Harold Matts team continued their two-point game streak over the weekend, narrowly going down to the Balmain Tigers at Leichhardt Oval. The team played well with some big hits and charging runs but just couldn’t get a head after the half time break, a second half that remained scoreless on both sides. Try scorers were Jayden Dabit and Nicholas Kotarac with a double. Saxon Gaw converted 1 from 3.
Canterbury Bulldogs proved too strong for the Bears SG Ball team with a very strong second half by the boys in blue. Our points scorers were Soteila Fatui and Blake Pasfield. Brandon Navarro converted 2 from 2.
Our female Junior Rep teams have continued to close the points gap in each game this season and although are yet to take home a win, are showing good progress in both attack and defence. Our Tarsha Gale point scorers were Logan Lemusu and Lilly Wilson, with Charis Toli converting 1 from 2. Lisa Fiaola Cup put up a solid fight against the Sharks and going down only 2 tries to three in the end. Our point scorers were Eden Melham and Lily-May Price-Jones, no succesful conversions.
This weekend, SG Ball take on the Sharks at Cronulla High School, Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup are up against the Panthers at the new Blacktown Exercise Sport and Tech Hub while our U16 Academy Team also go up against the Sharks in Cronulla. Harold Matts will enjoy a BYE round.
Our Knock-On Effect NSW Cup team have the weekend off as they prepare for round 1 to kick off on Sunday 9th March.
