With only two regular rounds left in the 2024 Junior Reps comp, it was wonderful to seeΒ three good wins from our pathway squads last Saturday. Our inauguralΒ Lisa Fiaola CupΒ team secured their first ever win, narrowly defeating theΒ Manly Sea EaglesΒ 14 – 12. Coming back from being down 8 – 0 at half time, the girls showed determination and sheer grit right toΒ the final whistle.Β This team is derived from local North Sydney district players and is testament to our club’s female player pathway program.OurΒ U16’s Development AcademyΒ walked away with their second hard-fought win of the season against theΒ Penrith Panthers. Lastly, ourΒ SG Ball squadΒ also defeated theΒ Manly Sea EaglesΒ and got to sing the Bears team song for the first time this season. Well done boys!This Saturday our four junior reps teams are all atΒ Eric Tweedale StadiumΒ to take on theΒ Parramatta EelsΒ while our U16 Academy is at Brookvale Oval to play the Sea Eagles. All four games against the Eels will be live streamed on theΒ NSWRL TVΒ app.
