Bears Announce New CEO

After a very lengthy recruitment process, we are very pleased to announce thatΒ Gareth HolmesΒ will be joining the Bears as our Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Gareth is an experienced executive manager with strong national and international expertise in the sporting industry and more than 25 years of experience leading rugby league programs in high-performance environments.
He brings to the role experience on executive leadership teams holding General Manager Football positions across three NRL clubs and as Elite Programs Manager for the NRL overseeing national representative programs. He also managed the Australian Kangaroos program for five years resulting in World Cup and Four Nations success.
Most recently he has consulted to Asia Pacific Rugby League, International Rugby League, and Rugby League World Cup 2021 to assist emerging nations and promote the International game.
We welcome Gareth to the Bears team and he looks forward to getting out to meet our Members, Corporate Partners, Players & Coaching Staff and Bears Fans in the near future.
