Crows Nest Festival

A great day was had at Crows Nest Festival – perfect spring weather to be out and about.

This was the first year that all of Norths Collective – Norths, Norths Fitness, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Greens North Sydney and North Sydney Bears were all in one giant stall. The atmosphere was fantastic – too many spritzes were drunk (non alchoholic of course!) and many have now developed an addiction to the fried cauliflower – even Brad Deitz who wasn’t convinced until he tried it and was sold!

Barney the Bear enjoyed the day dancing with the Zumba flash group from Norths Fitness, playing pass the ball with kids, Bears players and coach Jason Taylor, visiting other stalls, hugging anyone in sight, having lots of photos taken and just generally having too much fun.

He even went and visited the cubby house at Kids First that Bears chippies built the day before. Rumour has it he slept like a baby bear that evening and has gone into hibernation for a couple of weeks.

To everyone that came and said ‘hi’, chatted about the upcoming season, bought merchandise and membership – we thank you. A special mention to the Rose family who purchased the first new Platinum membership for the 2020 season. It’s great to see the excitement and interest out there for the Mighty Bears.
