This month the Bears portfolio of teams grew again with the introduction of our new Lisa Fiaola Cup squad. The Lisa Fiaola Cup is a NSWRL junior representative tackle competition for female players aged under 17 and is an important part of the pathways program leading on to the Tarsha Gale Cup (U19 Females) and beyond. We are proud that our inaugural Lisa Fiaola Cup team consists of local North Sydney District Junior League female players who are making the step up to the Bears from their local club teams. With the growth of the women’s tackle game within the district, and the success of the Friday Night All-Female 9-aside competition that was launched within the district this year, the Bears are excited to be able to add this addition to the club’s female player pathway.

Preseason is now underway, led by an experienced coaching staff with Head Coach Bruce Tuaimau and Assistant Coach Greg Florimo at the reigns. The team has a long journey ahead to ensure they are ready for the start of competition on Saturday 3rd February but are already showing great strength, skill and passion for the game.
