The North Sydney Bears are delighted to announce the appointment of two outstanding members, Jaimee Rogers and James Bracey, to the District Club’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. These Board additions come after the announcement that Bears legend, Billy Moore, has decided to step down as Board Director to focus on his media career and other businesses. A resolution was passed unanimously at last week’s North Sydney Bears Board meeting nominating Billy Moore for Life Membership of the Club at its next Annual General Meeting. This is a wonderful way to honour the immense contribution Moore has made to the Club over nearly four decades as a player, a Board Director, and an ongoing Club ambassador.

Jaimee Rogers is a distinguished business leader with deep ties to the North Shore. Jaimee brings extensive expertise in strategic growth, the media and community engagement. Jaimee is known for her philanthropic work with mental health charity Gotcha4Life and ocean conservation with Our Oceans, as well as a high-profile media career which included being part of the Big Sports Breakfast team, hosting live race days for Sky Racing and hosting NRL Insiders with Laurie Daley and Jimmy Smith. A long-time supporter and active contributor to local sporting initiatives, Jaimee is committed to strengthening the Club’s ties with the community while supporting sustainable development through innovative partnerships. “It’s an honour to join the board of the North Sydney Bears — a club with a proud and storied history that holds a special place in the heart of rugby league. This is an incredibly exciting time for the Bears as we work towards a long-awaited return to the NRL” commented Rogers.

Joining Jaimee is James Bracey, a lifelong Bears’ fan and a household name in Australian sports media who brings a wealth of experience, connections and passion for the Club. As Channel Nine’s chief NRL host and a seasoned sports presenter since 2008, James has remained deeply connected to the Bears since childhood, growing up attending matches at North Sydney Oval. James is a former Board Director of the Club. He will leverage his media insights and extensive network to promote the Bears brand and elevate its presence both on and off the field. “I’ve bled red and black from birth, so it’s an honour to be able to play a part in the Bears future.” proudly stated Bracey.
