The Passing of 1950’s Centre George Martin designer of 1954 Strip

The North Sydney Bears are saddened to hear of the passing of George Martin, a speedy centre for the Bears from 1952 – 1955.

George managed to score a very respectable 44 tries in his 71 games for Norths, and was also responsible for designing the 1954 jersey which the players wore that season.

Our thoughts are with Brendan and Bede martin and their families.
