2018 Intrust Super Premiership Draw

The North Sydney Bears have today finalised their draw and key related events for the 2018 Intrust Super Premiership season. There have been significant changes due to the new broadcasting arrangement which will include live and free-to-air games broadcasted on Channel 9, in addition to the scheduled live games on Fox Sports.

The increased exposure on free-to-air and pay TV has affected scheduling and you will now see the Bears play more games on Saturdays and earlier kick off times than last season. We believe these changes will build on the level of excitement on and around game day and we ask you all to plan your calendar in advance to ensure you are still supporting our Mighty Bears.

This is a big win for all our valued members and fans that can’t attend our games due to geographical reasons, as well as our corporate partners who will receive increased branding recognition with a total of nine games broadcasted live across the season – five on Channel 9 and four on Fox Sports.

The Norths Group will also be a fan hub for some of our away broadcasted TV games so our fans can mingle and enjoy the live coverage on the big screen. These games will be hosted at our traditional North Sydney Leagues Club and Norths will support these events with some fantastic member food offerings.

We have included below key events and celebrations around a number of our North Sydney home games and fan hub events that I hope you will all be part of.

  • Saturday 14 April: Jason Taylor Foundation Cup Match – Bears v Western Suburb Magpies
  • Saturday 14 April: 2018 Old Bears Day – Bears v Western Suburbs Magpies

The draw for both these teams will be released in the coming weeks.I am very excited about our season ahead and have no doubt these changes will drive our already strong heritage brand from strength to strength. I look forward to your support at these events in 2018.
