Match Report – Women’s Team Show Quality Footy in Dominant Attacking Display
In round four of the Harvey Norman Premiership, the Bears faced the newly formed Wentworthville Magpies Women’s team.
The Bears dominated possession in the first half with no less than five tries.
This was backed by Isabella Parkman’s four conversions.
The extended possession allowed the Bears free rein to control the play.
As the Bears confidence rose, combinations developed as they became relentless in looking for opportunities.
However the Wenty Magpies never gave up. Scoring two tries in second half, they managed to slow the Bears to only two tries in the final half, including a second try for both Ashleigh Werner and Claudia Bell.
The Bear’s Women’s team now face the Rabbitohs at Erskineville Oval on Sunday 22 April 2:00 pm.
NORTH SYDNEY BEARS 48 (tries: Barbara Waddell, Claudia Bell 2, Jordan Parsonage, Shenai Lendill, Pier Pritchard, Ashleigh Werner 2, Emily Andrews, conversions: Isabella Parkman 6),
defeated WENTWORTHVILLE MAGPIES 12 (tries: Ashleigh Buckley, Samaria Taia, conversions: Michala Ford 2).
