2019 SG Ball & Harold Matthews Squads

The North Sydney Bears are excited the 2019 Harold Matthews & SG Ball squads. After a bye in Round 1, both teams take on the Penrith Panthers this weekend in their first hit out of the year.

SG Ball Head Coach, Trevor Schodel, spoke of his excitement for the squad and the season ahead, “I am really confident we will be competitive with this squad. We have a good mix of new and returning players.

This is a strong SG Ball squad and I genuinely think some of the guys are good enough rise through our football pathways to join the Jersey Flegg squad when this competition is finished.”

Whilst Harold Matthews Head Coach Tony Cunningham talked about his squad’s shared goal for 2019, “Our goal as a squad is to be consistently competitive and to play with pride the Bears Jersey. I feel like we have a squad that can do just that in 2019. It is an exciting squad with a good balance and a couple development players that will learn this year in order to contribute to the team next year”.

Both teams play at Panthers Stadium this Saturday February 16. Harold Matthews kicks off at midday whilst SG Ball play at 1:30pm. Squad lists can be found here.
