In an absolute nailbiter, our Harold Matthews team took on fellow pathway partner club, Melbourne Storm. Although trailing by 12 points at half time, the team rallied nicely and brought home a great second half performance. First try of the second half went to Blake Van Drie off a brilliant break by his co-Captain, Ben Stringer. Benjamin Askew neatly converted and the score sat at 6 – 12. Ten minutes later, and after a massive effort in defence, Bears were in again as Stringer lurched for the try line, placing the ball in the corner. Again, Askew converted and leveled the scores at 12 all. An epic first game, played with a red & black do or die attitude.

Tough carries throughout the game in yardage causing line breaks, setting up a try and scoring one himself, he competed in everything.
