Club Announcement – Malcolm Woodcock

To our North Sydney Bears football community.

It with great sadness that we announce the loss of Malcolm Woodcock, on Friday 22nd June, 2018.

Malcolm was an extremely loyal and passionate person. He loved the Bears and he loved his junior club Crows Nest.
Malcolm served as Secretary for Crows Nest for many years. He served on the Junior League Board of Management, the registration committee and grounds committee. He was also the Junior League President from 1995 to 2000 inclusive.
Malcolm was awarded Life Membership of the Junior League in 1979 and of the North Sydney District Club in 1997.

Malcolm has been living in the lovely Noosa Heads region for the last 10 – 15 years.

Our deepest condolences go out to Malcolm’s family and friends during this difficult time.

The below quote is from the North Sydney Junior League 75th Anniversary book.
“We at Crows Nest have been lucky to have had on our Executive Committee blokes such as: Syd Mostyn, Ron Wigmore, Harry Hulbert, John’Bull’ Campbell, Merv and John McBride, Alan Benfield, Jim Freeman, Max Thew, Gordon Quinn, Reg Buxton, Ian Scale and Fred Phillipson. We have a 30 year old Life Member in Graham Rawlings and of course Crows Nest has been one of the lucky Clubs, because we have got Malcolm Woodcock. (Enough said I think)”.
