TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Promotional Period

1. North Sydney Bears (Bears) and Norths Collective (Norths) “Kick For Cash” promotion (“Promotion”) begins 9th August 2023 until the event is held on Sunday 20th August 2023 at North Sydney Oval, commencing at 2.40pm.

Entry Requirements

1. Entry is open to the public and must be 18 years or older.

2. All entries are by registration form only

3. Entries close 3pm Friday 18th September 2023

4. Registrants must be at the venue on the promotion day for their chance to be selected.

5. Registrants are only allowed to register once.

Draws & Prizes

6. Two registrants will be drawn at random at approx 1.45pm on Sunday 20th August 2023, prior to the main game kicking off at 2pm. Their names will be displayed on the big screen.

7. Registrants must be present at North Sydney Oval on the day to accept the chance to kick. Registrants will have 15 minutes to accept the chance to kick by confirming their presence at the ground by attending the Bears Merchandise Tent in front of the Duncan Thompson Stand.

8. If a drawn registrant does not accept the opportunity within the 15 minutes, new registrants will be selected at random.

9. Kick For Cash and Kick For Community prize pool consists of 2 x $1000 for general public, and $3000 total for pre-selected community organisations. Total prize pool is $5000.

Kick For Cash Activity:

9. Each kicker will be escorted onto North Sydney Oval at half time of the KOE NSW Cup game, at approx 2.40pm.

10. Each kicker will need to successfully complete two (2) conversions over the goal posts. Kick 1: 20 metres out, direct in front. If the first kick is completed successfully, KICK 2: 30 metres out and 20 metres in from the side line. If the kicker successfully completes both kicks they win $1000. Prize available is $1000 per kicker, total prize pool of $2000.

11. If the kicker is unsuccessful, they will receive $100

General

12. Prize winners are advised that Tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.

13. North Sydney Bears is the promoter, partnered with Norths Collective. The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize.

14. North Sydney Bears and Norths Collective reserve the right to cancel or change the prizes offered under this promotion if there are any changes to the law which would render the promotion or any prizes offered under the promotion unlawful.

15. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.

16. Decisions of the management of North Sydney Bears and Norths Collective are final. No correspondence will be entered into.

17. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these terms and conditions make no provision or in relation to which the relevant terms and conditions are unclear, North Sydney Bears and Norths Collective reserve the right to make a decision regarding such a situation or issue in its sole and absolute discretion and such a decision will be final and binding.

18. Norths Collective & North Sydney Bears Directors, Management, staff members and players are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

19. Participation in the Promotion by a patron confirms acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Promotion and the Club’s Rules and By-Laws in force from time to time.

20. Should a prize winner consent to having his/her photograph taken, that selected prize winner consents to having his/her name and photograph published in any form of media and agrees to participate in any reasonable promotion requested by Norths Collective & North Sydney Bears.

21. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

22. All entries become the property of the Promoter and will be entered into a database. The promoter may use the entrants’ names, addresses and telephone numbers for the distribution of prizes as well as future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant.

23. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner.

24. The laws of the state of New South Wales govern the promotion.
