This week we have another three new signings for our Canterbury Cup team and one for our Women’s team.
Charlie Rorke returns home after spending the last few years in the nation’s capital playing for the Canberra Raiders. Charlie is a local North Sydney Junior League lad who represented the Australian Schoolboys Rugby Union side before signing with the Raiders in 2018. He is a hard working front rower and we look forward to watching him play some quality football in 2020.
Elia Faatui joins us from the Western Suburbs club for season 2020. Elia played 14 games for the Magpies in 2019 in the front row. He will add a lot of depth in the middle of the park and we look forward to seeing him develop throughout the 2020 season.
Fijian international D’Rhys Miller joins the Bears from Wentworthville in 2019. D’Rhys made his international debut for Fiji this year in the mid-year Pacific Test against Lebanon. A powerful back rower, D’Rhys comes with a wealth of experience and leadership and will be looking to continue his career at the Bears in 2020.
Joining the women’s team this season is front rower Moniqca Mo’ale. Known for fending off multiple defenders and her barnstorming runs Moniqca will be a great addition to the team.
Go the Bears!
