Two Special Club Appointments!

The North Sydney Bears are excited to announce the appointment of Paul Stringer as the new coach of the Jersey Flegg team for 2020.

Paul played at the Bears 1997-99 before continuing his career at Northern Eagles, South Sydney and Parramatta, playing 143 first grade games.  A central coast local junior, Paul has coached the West Tigers under 20’s and NSW Cup in 2015/16.

Jason Taylor said: “I’ve worked with Paul before and I’m really excited about what he can bring to the club. I know he is a Bears man from when he started his career and will be a great asset to the club”.

The Club is also delighted to announce the reappointment of Rob Capizzi as Harvey Norman’s Women’s coach for 2020. Rob has had a great 2019 finishing equal first at seasons end but unfortunately not taking the ultimate prize. This will be motivation enough for Rob for 2020 as he looks to take the girls to the next step and is excited to continue the good work he has done.

Rob said:  “We had a very good season in 2019 but we recognise there are some areas that we need to improve on. We have assembled a fantastic squad in preparation for next season and can’t wait to start!”
