The North Sydney Bears were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Paul Griffin this week. Paul, a member of the Bears 1989 Reserve Grade premiership winning squad has been a wonderful and generous supporter of local rugby league for many years. He owned and operated Griffin Air Conditioning, who have been a long-time sponsor of the Bears, particularly our Junior Representative programs, as well as a supporter of many other local sporting clubs and community groups. The Bears have also worked closely with Paul for many years as a representative of our pathway partner, the Hills Bulls.
Paul was a generous, energetic and all-round good guy. “A good businessman, clubman and a champion bloke. Paul was always willing to support the Bears and will be very much missed within the local league community” commented Gareth Holmes, CEO North Sydney Bears.
The Bears send our condolences to the Griffin family and the Hills Bulls Rugby League community.
