2023 Team Lists: Round 7 NSW Cup and Round 11 HNWP

This Sunday we return to North Sydney Oval with a big day of footy on - two proud foundation clubs, North Sydney Bears and South Sydney Rabbitohs, will come together to challenge for two mighty cups. Our Harvey Norman women's Premiership team will take on the Bunnies for the second year in the Women in League Cup. Bears won the game in 2022 and we are aiming to retain the cup for the second year in a row. We will also be raising funds for women's cancer research on the day, so come support the Bears and help us tackle cancer.

2023 Team Lists: Round 6 NSW Cup and Round 10 HNWP

On Easter Saturday both our senior Men's and Women's teams are heading down the coast to Collegians Sporting Complex. Our NSW Cup team kick off at 1.45pm against the St George Illawarra Dragons, followed at 3.45pm by our Harvey Norman Women's Premiership team who will take on St George. Our Harvey's team has named another strong side for their round 10 clash and with only two rounds left in the regular season are keen to defend their top of the ladder position. Go get 'em ladies! Paul Momirovski backs up again for the Bears NSW Cup team this weekend and fellow Rooster Sitili Tupouniua joins him in the side. Jason Taylor's team has been building week on week this season and are looking to continue their four wins on the trot status. 2023 Team Lists: Round 5 NSW Cup and Round 9 HNWP & Junior Reps

This Saturday we have five big games at the summer home of the Bears Hills Grammar School with our U16s Academy, Harold Matthews and SG Ball teams taking on the Sydney Roosters, our Tarsha Gale Cup going up against the Panthers and finishing the day with our HNWP playing the Central Coast Roosters. This is the last round for our Junior Reps teams Harold Matthews, Tarsha Gale and SG Ball. Well done on a good season, the club is proud of the growth each team displayed and the resilience shown both on and off the field. Let's make Saturday a big one! Entry is $10 per adult and kids U16 are free, all funds go to supporting the Bears pathway programs. Coffee and food will be available. Come on out and support the Bears! Our NSW Cup boys are taking on the Sydney Roosters on Sunday afternoon at Wentworth Park, kick off at 3.15pm. This should be a great game as the Red & Black play the newly formed Tri-Colours for the first time in the KOE NSW Cup. This weekend our KOE NSW Cup team are heading over to New Zealand to take on the Warriors in Auckland, first visit over the waters for the team since before covid struck. Big game, Warriors have won 2 from 2 this season. Our HNWP, SG Ball, Tarsha Gale and Harold Matthews teams are all heading to Wollongong to go up against the Illawarra Steelers at Collegians Sporting Complex. This Friday marks the start of the 2023 Knock On Effect NSW Cup competition and to kick things off Bears take on Panthers at BlueBet Stadium for Friday Night Footy. Round 4 2023: Team Lists HNWP & Junior Reps

All 5 teams are back on the field this week and spread across three venues this Saturday. Our U16s Academy have an early start with an 8.30am kick off against the Parramatta Eels at Kellyville Park. Followed by Tarsha Gale at 10am and SG Ball at 11.30am. Our Harold Matts are up against the Bulldogs at Belmore Oval at 1pm and our mighty Harvey Norman Women's Premiership team finish off the day at Ringrose Park when they go up against Wenty Magpies at 2pm. This Sunday we are back at Bear Park again to take on the Western Suburbs Magpies in the final of the Jason Taylor Cup for 2022. This is also our Retro Round and we ask everyone to wear the Bear, pull out your favorite retro jerseys and fill the hill. More info to come in Grizzly News, but we will be diving back a few decades to bring an old school vibe to the oval - think Tina Turner "Simply the Best", Footy Doubles will be available to purchase, Streets Cornetto ice-creams to enjoy, visit the Bears heritage display in the Molly Dive Stand, the Ken Irvine Scoreboard will be operating and over 60 Bears Legends will be at Bear Park to cheer the mighty Red & Black on to a victory. Gates open at 1.30pm.

TEAM LIST TUESDAY: 9th August 2022

What a day we had for our big return to Bear Park on Sunday. The sun was shining, the sausages were sizzling, the kids were laughing and the Bears were on fire! With over 1600 spectators at the ground to cheer on the Red & Black, the boys brought the heat with a great spectacle of footy ending in a glorious win over the Bulldogs. Although Bulldogs made an early grab for points within the first few minutes of the game, Bears retaliated and keep them to 4 for the whole first half. Tom Carr got the Bears on the board with his first of three tries for the game after some nice attacking play that pushed the ball up the field.

Coming off the back of a bye weekend, the boys are well rested and are entering Round 21 with a clear head. This Sunday we return to Bear Park to take on the Bulldogs in a 3rd v 4th clash, kicking off at 2pm. With only 4 games left of the regular Knock of Effect NSW Cup season, every minute counts and we are gunning for the points.

Another big weekend of footy looms large for the Bears as our women's team head into Semi-Finals on Saturday. They are taking on 4th position Wests Tigers at 2pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday. Below is Head Coach, Rob Capizzi's, team to get the job done. This game will be live streamed on the NSWRL Facebook page, make sure you tune in and support our ladies as they fight for their position in the Grand Final. Our boys are heading south to take on the green machine at Raiders Belconnen this Saturday.
